Fayetteville, AR- Jevan Snead passed for 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns to help lead the Ole Miss Rebels to a 23-21 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks in SEC play at Razorback Stadium.

Snead converted 14-of-27 passing for the Rebels (4-4, 2-3 SEC) as former Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt returned to Fayetteville and snapped a two- game slide in the process.

The Razorbacks (3-5, 1-4), losers of two straight and five of the last six outings, were led by Casey Dick who converted 20-of-38 for 282 yards and two scores, but he was sacked three times and intercepted once in the setback.

The only scoring of the first quarter came courtesy of a 39-yard field goal by Joshua Shene for the Rebels. Ole Miss managed another 10 points in the second period on a 34-yard field goal by Shene and an eight-yard TD pass from Snead to Shay Hodge.

However, in between Arkansas posted a 13-yard TD run by Michael Smith to make the score 13-7 at the break.

Following a scoreless third quarter, Snead's 11-yard TD pass to Mike Wallace pushed the advantage to 20-7.

In the final minutes of the contest Dick threw TDs of eight and 22 yards to Lucas Miller and Greg Childs, respectively, to close the gap, but a Shene 28- yard field goal with 1:45 to play proved to be the deciding score for Ole Miss on the night.

Arkansas posted 386 yards of total offense in the contest, but hurt itself with a mere 3-of-14 on third down.
