Montgomery Advertiser: Tigers focus on getting 6th win of season, not on Iron Bowl streak
From the Montgomery Advertiser:
Antonio Coleman is tired of hearing about numbers.
The Tigers will be going for their seventh consecutive win against Alabama this weekend. Auburn's Iron Bowl streak -- already longest in the program's history -- has provided fans plenty of late-autumn cheer and advantageous positions in arguments with their crimson-clad counterparts.
That means nothing to Coleman.
He has other numerals in mind.
"They're No. 1 and we're 5-6," he said. "When you go out and play ball, the streak doesn't matter. You have to come out and play this year. I don't even think about the streak. It's a whole other year."
